It was 4:41 a.m. when the police and emergency services were called to the scene of the accident on county road 826 outside Tenhult, where a car had driven into a tree.
The lone driver was taken, according to Jönköpings-Posten, by ambulance to hospital. Just before 1 p.m., the police announced that the man had died of his injuries.
