Motorcyclist ran over police in Halmstad – man charged

It was in mid-April when the man was stopped at a speed check in central Halmstad that he allegedly accelerated and ran into the police instead. The police had to be treated in hospital after the incident. According to the indictment, the incident was life-threatening and the police must have sustained permanent injuries.

Passengers on the motorcycle were also injured

The man is also charged with aggravated assault for injuries he allegedly inflicted on the passenger on the back of the motorcycle when they overturned, after hitting the police.

Drove without a license and under the influence of drugs

He is also accused of driving a motorcycle without a driver’s license and being heavily influenced by both cannabis and amphetamines.

The accused denies the crime.
