A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital on Saturday after a collision in Haldimand County.

Provincial police responded to Haldimand Road 9 and Highway 56 at about 2:25 pm following a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries, say police. The other driver wasn’t injured.

A 51-year-old from Grimsby is charged with careless driving.

The intersection was closed for about three hours while police investigated.
