Shortly after 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, SOS was alerted to a traffic accident on road 153 in Varberg municipality. A passenger car and motorcycle have collided in a side impact.
Emergency services, ambulance and police have been on the scene. The road, which is closed in both directions, is expected to open on Saturday morning.
– The person was lying on the road when they arrived. Ambulance personnel have taken care of the driver and are now on their way to hospital, says Peter Karlborg, internal commander at the emergency services, who says that the extent of the damage is unclear.
The driver of the passenger car is now suspected of causing bodily harm and of failing to observe the right of way. Both the passenger car and the motorcycle needed to be recovered.
