    A man in northern Värmland was arrested on Thursday by the Värmland district court, suspected of several serious rapes against children.

    The abuses must have taken place from 2020 and continued at least until the beginning of 2022.

    – It was the social service that raised the alarm, says prosecutor Cecilia Aronsson to Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.

    The man is now in custody for several cases of aggravated rape of a child and aggravated sexual abuse of a child. The man and the child are familiar with each other.

    The castle is evacuated and images from the scene show heavily armed police.

    Four passenger cars have collided on Huddingevägen at the height of Älvsjö in Stockholm.

  • Minister of Social Services speaks about the lack of places at Sis

    On Thursday, the government held a crisis meeting after Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions (SKR) raised the alarm that the lack of closed care places is acute and unacceptable.

    58 children and young people who are in urgent need of inpatient care (LVU) are now in the queue, according to the latest statistics from the State Board of Institutions (Sis).

  • Shooting in the parking lot

    The police have been alerted to a shooting in Partille outside Gothenburg.

    Witnesses reportedly heard shots being fired in a parking lot and then saw a black car leave the scene. A hooded person was also seen running from the scene.

    Norwegian media reports on Thursday that Pride terrorist Zaniar Matapour will receive a historically long sentence. VG states that he will be sentenced to 30 years in prison.

    Matapour murdered two people during the Pride party in Oslo in the summer of 2022. At least another 21 people were injured before the shooter could be stopped.

    Hi Niklas! If we were to write about all the power outages in the whole country, there would be a lot, especially when it is usually very local. We are a nationwide newspaper as you mention, but that also means that we cannot write about everything in every locality.

    In the next news regarding murder and rape or for that matter if it is gang-related, you write out the name and post a picture of the perpetrators. what makes the difference? it’s still the case that there are people who are sentenced to rather long sentences, I don’t see the difference, criminal as criminal!
