The use of the drug crystal is increasing sharply among young people in Motala, and those who use the drug are getting younger, something like Motala newspaper was the first to report on.
Crystal is also called 3-CMC and is considered a type of amphetamine that is crushed and either smoked or snorted up the nose.
In Motala, a clear increase in usage has been noted in the past year, which is something that is taken very seriously.
The sale takes place, among other things, via the social media app Snapchat, which is popular among many young people.
– In the flow, you get advertising to buy and know where to go. We feel that it exists in all ages, residential areas and schools, says Karin Ahlund, treatment secretary at Mini-Maria in Motala.
