“The first stranger who asked me to test her boyfriend’s loyalty was a single mother of five.”
Occupation: temptress. “The first stranger who asked me to test her boyfriend’s loyalty was a single mother of five. She thought her boyfriend was cheating.” Her name is Madeline Smith. And she earns her living by “testing” the fidelity of husbands. His client had previously gone through a difficult divorce after being cheated on and bravely tried to get back into a relationship. “The woman finds a new partner, but she has doubts. So she contacts me; I am the temptress. I approached him and told him he looked familiar, nothing weird. struck up a conversation, but it didn’t take long before he got very inappropriate with me and pretended to be single.”
his beginnings
She started doing these kinds of tests in high school, when she used messaging apps to try to find out if her friends’ boyfriends were “shady.” Over time, she has carried out similar investigations to help her friends overcome separations or divorces. People were asking him for help trying to find information about what their partners were doing. “I feel that they have started to trust me – she says in Newsweek – and that I am able to put them in safety because I care about their interests”.
viral videos
In 2016, with the permission of her friends, she shared a video on social networks about a loyalty test she had carried out for a friend. And it’s going viral. “People started contacting me asking if I could check on their partners. At first it wasn’t something I did regularly as my children were still very young, but I was encouraged by the connections that I developed with the people who contacted me after carrying out the tests”. She then realizes that there are a lot of people who need proof and someone who, from the outside, is watching in the relationship.
business
Now she does full-time loyalty testing and gets paid. “I put in a lot of energy. A job that takes time and effort. Most of my cases are straight women testing men, but there have been a few men who have come to me to test their girlfriends or women who want to test their female partners. I’m always very honest with everyone, regardless of gender.”
The double life
“I have seen several cases of men leading double lives, which are often the craziest. One case of a couple particularly struck me. They lived together, on and off, and she began to suspect that he something was going on. Turns out he was married with kids and living in different cities. But the really shocking part was that his wife knew about it and didn’t care.” In March 2021, another glaring case. “When I unmasked a man leading a double life and connected his girlfriend to his lover; in reality, they ended up being friends. They were calling each other to cry over this man.”
The difficulties
Madeline performed loyalty tests on people in high places, including a successful NBA player. “Despite the fact that he had a relationship, he almost immediately invited me to his hotel after one of his matches.” There are also difficulties in exercising such a profession. “I still find my job difficult in some ways, I’ll never feel comfortable giving heartbreaking news to people, but now I’m able to detach myself from it a bit more.”
