(Finance) – The Bank of Russia has decided to extend the stock market close, a decision taken to avoid the collapse of corporate valuations after the sanctions imposed by the West. Reopened from today, March 9, the market for you changethe market monetary and that of repo (starting at 10:00 Moscow time). The opening hours of the Moscow Exchange on March 10, 2022 will be announced on the Bank of Russia website before 9:00 am Moscow time on March 10, 2022, a statement read.
The suspension of trading on the stock market, which began on February 28, is the longest in the country’s modern history. Among the most important cases of prolonged closure of the stock markets are the one decided on the occasion of theSeptember 11, 2021with the New York Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange and other exchanges remaining closed for four trading days, and that of the Egyptian stock exchange on theearly 2011 because of the protests that overthrew President Mubarak’s regime.
