Electricity three times more expensive this winter

When a new system for electricity transmission is introduced, electricity prices risk skyrocketing. In order to predict the price consequences, Svenska Kraftnät has carried out test runs which show that it can be up to three times as expensive this winter.

VMA issued – major fire in sawmill

During the night of Saturday, a VMA was issued in Kalix and Grytnäs in Kalix municipality in connection with a fire that broke out in a sawmill. The public is still asked to stay indoors and close windows, doors and ventilation.

“They will let the building burn down in a controlled manner,” said the rescue service’s command operator to NSD during the morning.

At half past six, the emergency services stated that there is no longer any risk of spread, but the VMA remains.

15 Hezbollah commanders killed in Israeli attack
