The number of companies prosecuted for work environment violations is increasing. Between 2019 and 2021, the number has nearly doubled.
figures from the Work Environment Agency, the police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the number of cases leading to prosecution has increased annually since 2017.
The increase is mainly due to closer cooperation between the authorities and an investment in shortening processing times.
Despite the increase, the number of reports to the Public Prosecutor’s Office has been relatively constant in recent years.
