More than two million tickets have been sold for the Paris Paralympics, which start on Wednesday, but there are still 500,000 tickets left unsold. Secretary General of the Games Tony Estanguet told the news conference on Tuesday.

The most popular events in terms of ticket sales have been football for the visually impaired, taekwondo, track cycling, shooting sports, triathlon and horse riding. On Monday, the race organizers put more tickets on sale for the events that aroused the greatest interest.

In the Paris Paralympics, several competition venues are the same as in the Olympics, but they have been adapted for para athletes.

– I know that we will still sell admission tickets until the end of the Games, just like in the Olympics, Estanguet said.

Finland has a team of 16 athletes at the Paris Games, aiming for six Paralympic medals.
