“That is quite a special feeling,” says chairman Loek Verhoef about the moment when all the candles are lit. He said the event was a success. “It was very busy, at the peak there were at least five thousand people.” He received many positive reactions from people who were happy that it could continue after the corona years. “And a number of people said it was very dark, but yes, that’s part of it,” says Verhoef.
