But there is also a mental problem, Hordijk believes. “Many entrepreneurs no longer want to have to work to pay back that tax. Because they also have to build up a pension on top of that. If they have to work harder because they have fewer employees and the cost is so high that is actually no longer profitable, then the entrepreneur says: I’m going to throw in the towel, because if I manage to do this, I will have to continue working for years to create some value again.”
