More than 40 people died in Israeli attacks on Lebanon on Sunday | News in brief

At least 41 people are said to have died in the attacks carried out by Israel in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Twenty-three people have died in the attack on the village of Aalmati, north of the capital Beirut alone.

In addition, at least 12 people are said to have died in the Baalbek area.

According to calculations by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, more than 3,130 people have been killed in Israel’s attacks on Lebanon since the conflict between Israel and the extremist organization Hezbollah escalated in late September.

The Israeli army and the Iranian-backed extremist organization Hezbollah have been firing on each other almost daily near the border between Israel and Lebanon since the Gaza war began.
