A state of emergency has been declared in the country due to a natural disaster.

At least 22 people have already died in the floods and landslides that hit Bosnia-Herzegovina, the authorities said on Tuesday.

Six people are still missing as more heavy rains are expected in the country.

Authorities issued an evacuation order for the southern districts of Jablanica and Konjic, which were affected by Friday’s floods, where 19 people were killed.

Floods and landslides destroyed roads, railways and bridges and cut off access to several areas. Numerous houses and cars were left under mud and water masses.
