Indeed, the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) or the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA) can grant you a bonus in the amount of 119.46 euros or more, in the 6 months following your move. However, you must meet certain conditions to be entitled to it, like most social benefits. It concerns parents with at least three dependent children, including if it is an unborn child, and who receive personalized housing assistance (APL) or family housing allowance (ALF) for the new accommodation in question. Another condition: the move must take place “between the 1st day of the calendar month following the end of your 3rd month of pregnancy and the last day of the month preceding the 2nd birthday of your last child”, specifies the French administration website .
Please note that the aid is increased depending on the number of dependent children: you benefit from 1212.75 euros for 4 children, and 93.29 euros per additional child. This is also a ceiling which is equal to the amount of actual moving costs. So remember to keep the invoices from the moving company, or the rental of a truck as well as the gasoline costs so that you can then be reimbursed. It is also possible to obtain an advance of 50% to 75% of the quote amount depending on your situation.
