After more than 40 kilometers the prizes will be distributed. Maikel Stolwijk can call himself the winner of the Utrecht Marathon. Visibly enjoying himself, he tells how he was triggered to participate: “I think the last time with this event it went wrong because many participants went in the wrong direction. That’s why it actually caught my attention,” says Maikel, who believes that the organization has taken revenge this year: “It was really very well organized this year, there was an audience everywhere”, concludes the winner of the marathon.
