Every incident, lex Sarah, is reported by the municipality itself and they try to investigate what happened. It has also been reported to IVO, the Inspectorate for Care and Care.
Many different visitors
Each elderly person is visited by both the municipality’s staff and by staff from Samhall who perform cleaning and laundry. According to a report, 20 different people had been at the elderly man’s home from the time the money was last seen until it disappeared.
– The difficulty of investigating is due to the fact that so many days have passed, there are many people and it is difficult to see any common thread, says Jill Mattsson.
In one case, a relative thought that it was the elderly person who got rid of the money himself, but the municipality takes the events seriously and installs safes and traceable unlocking in all apartments.
