In the past two weeks, NS staff went on strike for five days, each time in a different part of the country. The day before yesterday, the employees in the Central Netherlands laid down their work. Because many trains run from, to or through this area, there were virtually no trains throughout the country. But the other strike days also had an impact on train traffic in our region. That’s how it was yesterday, when there was a strike in the south and east of the Netherlands, a busy and chaotic day at Utrecht Central Station. And due to the strike in South Holland on Friday, there were no longer any trains from Utrecht to Schiphol and Gouda, for example.
