Parties such as D66, GroenLinks, Volt, the ChristenUnie, PvdA, CDA, PvdD, on the other hand, want an accelerated introduction, even if the roads have not yet been set up. “Then you are already taking a step in the right direction,” says Joost Vasters of D66. The parties also argue that it makes communication easier if the new rules go into once and that there are no illogical combinations of roads that have arisen other maximum speeds. “Then there will be extremely illogical situations and weird transitions,” says Joachim Cornielje of the PvdA.
