Utrecht has plans to significantly expand the number of temporary homes. The Regiodeal concluded last year includes the realization of 1500 flexible homes. Of these, 1000 will be in the municipality of Utrecht and 500 in Houten, IJsselstein, Rhenen, Wijk bij Duurstede, Eemnes, Bunnik, Nieuwegein, Stichtse Vecht, Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Montfoort. The government has made 18 million euros available for this. Plans for new flexible homes are also planned for 2024 and beyond.
More permits for flex homes, but things are still moving too slowly
