The number of people who received support from the Crime Victims’ Help Desk increased by almost 7,000 people last year, to almost 61,500, according to a press release.

The crime victim’s call center explains the increase by the fact that the police have become better at conveying support seekers to the call center.

The organization highlights the large increase in benefit applicants who have been victims of fraud – 55 percent more in 2023 compared to 2022. Many of those affected are older than 65.
