Last month it was announced that more than 3 billion euros will be invested in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Hague is ready. The government does not only want to compensate citizens for the high energy bill, but also companies. What this compensation should look like is still under discussion. Initially, only entrepreneurs who spent 12.5% of their turnover on energy costs were eligible. That came to the minister a lot of criticism, because many companies could not count on support. Now Minister Adriaansens of Economic Affairs and Climate has written to the House of Representatives that she wants to lower the threshold to 9 percent.
