The EU adds another 2.5 billion euros to Ukraine. Thus, the Union has brought a total of over 6.7 billion to the war-torn country in 2022.
Even more is also on the way for next year, as the European Commission recently proposed to transfer a total of 18 billion euros – over 200 billion Swedish kronor – in regular broadcasts during the next year.
“For quick repairs and a quick recovery leading to a successful rebuild. We will support Ukraine as long as it takes,” writes Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Twitter.
In addition to Tuesday’s money, the commission also expects to transfer another 500 million euros in December.
