The Social Insurance Office will make extra checks on VAB applications this spring, the authority writes in a press release.
The extra controls will be done throughout the country.
In case of suspicion that incorrect information has been submitted with diligence in, the authority retrieves information from, among other things, employers. If the suspicions are correct, it can lead to the police report and fines or prison sentences. The Social Insurance Office also requires back all money paid incorrectly.
