No rain, a few clouds and lots of sunshine on the horizon for next weekend. Temperatures are rising across the country, especially on Saturday, even though summer still seems far away.
What is the weather like this weekend in France? From Friday, more summery temperatures are expected. The Azores anticyclone, which will cover the whole of Western Europe, should chase away the rain for the weekend and allow the whole country to experience its first great sunbaths of the year. The Weather Channel announces temperature peaks of up to 28°C for the south of the Garonne. In the rest of the country, temperatures will be milder but remain high for the season.
This first Saturday in April will be very sunny throughout the country, fog and morning freshness felt in the countryside will quickly give way to sun and blue skies for the rest of the day. In the north, it will be cooler near the coast, but the few clouds visible near the Channel should not spoil the pleasure of walkers and the first picnics of the season. The entire southern half of the country will benefit from a dry and sunny Saturday.
Temperature differences will be widely felt in both halves of the country. In the North as in the South, temperatures should vary between 3 and 14°C in the morning then between 17 and 25°C in the afternoon. The lucky ones will see the temperature rise to 28°C south of the Garonne. It will still be hot but without reaching record values.
Sunday promises to be more contrasting for the northern half of the country, the anticyclone should begin to retreat towards the Mediterranean and the clouds from the British Isles will gradually slide towards the Channel coasts to return inland. In the north of the country, the wind will pick up and temperatures should be milder than the day before. Eastern regions will also see temperatures drop slightly compared to the day before, but should be spared from the winds from the north. The south of the Loire will still benefit from the anticyclone and summer temperatures and dry weather will continue.
The minimum temperatures expected this Sunday range between 7°C and 15°C but could rise up to 28°C from the English Channel to the southern coasts and from the Pyrenean basin to Provence. The weekend therefore promises to be summery for the entire country. Even without reaching last Saturday’s 34°C in some places, the weather will be closer to the end of May than the beginning of April. The first holidaymakers in zones B and C will have to take advantage of this because from Monday, temperatures are expected to drop again by around ten degrees due to the direction of the wind to the north.
