More bronze, easier enemies – hotfix makes everything better

The first major hotfix for WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria went live. There is now significantly more bronze and enemies no longer hit so hard.

The first few days of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria were pretty wild. Some abilities have knocked heroes out of their shells in one hit, while others exploited an exploit to earn hundreds of thousands of bronze in just a few hours.

The biggest problems were quickly fixed by Blizzard with a hotfix. Now there was an explanation of what else had been changed. The short version: More bronze and more loot for everyone.

What has been changed? Blizzard has made a number of adjustments to WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria to improve the feel of the game. Through a hotfix (which is already live), the following changes have been made:

  • Enemy scaling is now less aggressive, especially between levels 40 and 70.
  • Gear now drops much more frequently from Rares, Elite Rares and Quests (reward chests).
  • The first visit to each LFR wing now gives a 7% XP buff to the cloak, allowing you to level even faster after the LFR.
  • Bosses in scenarios and dungeons now drop experience points.
  • Bosses in scenarios and dungeons now drop more Prismatic Gems.
  • All bronze crates now drop 25% more bronze.
  • What was the problem? Scaling the mobs was a problem, especially between levels 60 and 70. In the first two days it was practically necessary to upgrade all of your equipment after every level up above level 60, otherwise enemies would quickly blow your life out.

Now the scaling is a little milder and the strength of the enemies only increases as your item level increases (up to level 342). If you increase the item level beyond this, your power will only increase, while the enemies will remain at the same level.

What do the changes mean? In plain language, the changes result in more positive aspects:

  • You get more bronze from the bronze chests. A crate that previously gave 1,000 Bronze now grants 1,250 Bronze.
  • You will receive more equipment that you can use or dismantle into bronze.
  • Enemies are no longer as strong at later levels and are easier to defeat.
  • Overall, the feel of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is now much more rounded. Anyone who is dissatisfied that he or she has already redeemed many bronze boxes can repeat the successes on other characters. This makes sense anyway, as additional characters start straight away with an improved cloak. Because currently the mode is just fun.

How are you liking WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria so far? Are you happy with the mode or don’t want to get excited?
