More and more hospitals are on staff mode

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The pressure on healthcare is increasing. Today, the Kronoberg region announced that healthcare is going into staff mode because the load is high and the influx of patients too great. Those who are most seriously ill will be prioritized. In a press release, hospital manager Florence Eddyson Hägg writes:

– There is a very large influx of patients and many who need to be admitted. The load on the emergency department has been very high, and also on other care departments.

In the past, several hospitals in the country have gone into staff mode. Among them are the Södersjukhuset in Stockholm and the Academic Hospital in Uppsala. The reason is above all the spread of RS, influenza and the coronavirus which is behind the situation.
