Ibrahim Sadiq became the big hero for the visitors when he sent in the decisive 2-1 goal from close range with 15 minutes of regular time remaining.
Hecken’s equalizer came early in the second half after a first half in which AIK had most of the game – and also the lead.
— AIK at Friends is one of the toughest matches. We continue to play our football and I like to see that, says Häcken’s coach Per-Mathias Høgmo in Discovery+.
Fullback Kristoffer Lund, who was behind both of Häcken’s goals:
— We were a little frustrated after the first half. We ourselves are the problem in the first half. We said we need to take it easy. We score two goals and defend well. It was good enough.
Høgmo sums it all up:
— We fight back from a disadvantage here against AIK. It is a great performance by the players, a moral victory.
Häcken is second in the Allsvenskan, two points behind Malmö FF, who, on the other hand, have played two fewer games.
