Moody’s revises BPER’s main ratings upwards

BPER SP assigns BBB A 3 rating positive outlook

(Finance) – The rating agency Moody’s revised its main ratings upwards BPER Bank. The bank itself made this known in a note, explaining that the agency, in particular, has revised upwards in the Investment Grade area the standalone Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) rating which goes from “ba1” to “baa3” and the ratings to long-term on senior unsecured debt and the issuer rating which both went from “Ba1” to “Baa3”.

L‘outlook has been changed to stable from positive.

In the analysis, Moody’s recognizes BPER Banca’s “growing ability to generate profitability and solid capital position”, together with the “good quality of assets and robust funding and liquidity position”.

With today’s judgment all the main ratings assigned to BPER Banca by the various rating agencies are now placed in the category Investment Grade.
