Aaron Sanders, cousin of Joe Spencer, also thought it was an inspiring afternoon and a special day for all relatives. He only learned of the existence of his uncle, his mother’s brother, five years ago. Aaron: “It was a very sad event for the family and it was not talked about.” But when he heard about it, he wanted to know more. “I am very grateful for the people in Hei- en Boeicop, because I have heard many new things about what happened to my uncle.”
