At gamescom 2022, two influencer scandals caused a stir. So far this year’s gamecom has been relatively calm. Twitch streamer Marcel is without incident “MontanaBlack” Eris (35) didn’t make it through the fair after all.
What was that challenge? At its otherwise rather quiet appearance at gamescom on August 24, 2023, MontanaBlack let its viewers compete for prizes in various competitions. In the spiciness contest, participants should increasingly consume spicy food.
Those who could no longer or had to vomit were eliminated. The “Hot Chip Challenge” has been making the rounds on Twitch and Co. for some time. Scores of streamers ate the tortilla chip, advertised as containing 1.8 to 2.2 million Scoville, and shared the reaction live with their viewers.
At gamescom, some content creators seem to want to turn the tables and instead let their fans compete.

Sharpness challenge after stomach surgery: Not a good idea
How did the challenge go? The candidates for the MontanaBlack heat challenge did well. However, a young woman was visibly affected by the sharpness. “The young lady is not feeling well at the moment. Once upon the young lady gladly. The camera, please,” the Twitch streamer announced (via Twitch).
Even before the challenge, the participant had admitted that she had recently undergone stomach surgery. This set off alarm bells for some viewers. Because very spicy food can lead to symptoms even in healthy people, it can represent an additional burden for an already attacked digestive tract.
“End in the terrain” for participants
How did you deal with the situation? The Twitch streamer assured the young woman that she didn’t have to do anything just to prove something. However, the participant was determined not to go home empty-handed.
MontanaBlack and friend Marc Gebauer, who accompanied him last year, also discussed a possible consolation prize: “Because I know that if she eats the yellow thing, then it’s the end of the terrain. But actually we want to see that too. “(via Twitch)
Ultimately, the participant abandoned the challenge and did not taste the infamous hot chip. She seemed to gather herself quickly though and was already able to smile for the camera again.
However, MontanaBlack later announced “one of the contestants” who took part in the heat challenge was in the hospital. According to reports, it should be about the young woman.
While emphasizing that the participants themselves would be responsible, MontanaBlack also stated that “for the conscience” they would only accept participants of legal age (via TikTok). It is currently not known how the participant is doing.
