As MontanaBlack, 34-year-old Marcel Eris is already one of the biggest streamers on German Twitch. Now he’s getting a second channel that will have content around the clock. Find out at MeinMMO what it’s all about.
What is this channel? On January 24th, MontanaBlack shared his new Twitch channel on Twitter. From now on, old videos and streams should run there around the clock. The channel is called GetOnMyLvLTV, you can find it here.
MontanaBlack becomes the television alternative
How is that received? Reactions on Twitter have been mixed. While some find the channel “mega” and make a note of the channel when they “get bored”, others see the financial aspect above all.
This is actually pretty clever and a good source of money, since MontanaBlack could collect regular advertising revenue with minimal work.
However, some viewers see this quite critically: They accuse MontanaBlack of only being interested in money and not caring about its community. If he needs money, he should just stream more than 8 hours a week, says one Twitter user (via Twitter).
A comparison to another veteran of the German Twitch seems to be obvious to many: Erik “Gronkh” Range. He has been running a second channel since 2015, which was offline for a while, but is now again broadcasting old Let’s Plays and streams from Gronkh around the clock.

What is GronkhTV? The Gronkh 24-hour channel has a special history. Because when the YouTuber was pressured by the state media authority to acquire a broadcasting license in 2018, he decided to reactivate his old secondary channel and apply for a license for it.
After all, the channel is actually on the air around the clock and is more like a television station than he is, a private individual who streams from his basement, Gronkh explained in a video (via YouTube) at the time.
For this reason, there is already speculation that the second channel of MontanaBlack could also have something to do with the broadcasting laws. However, the connection is not yet completely clear, since the 34-year-old – like all streamers in Germany, who have an average of at least 20,000 viewers – had to apply for a broadcasting license.
So the secondary channel does not help him circumvent such a license.
However, it is possible that the second channel has something to do with the ill-fated Wildpark stream in October 2022. MontanaBlack had to take it offline after a mother obtained a restraining order because she and her daughter could be seen in the background.
The streamer had referred to the fact that he was essentially a television broadcaster and that something like that would run under “accessories”. He therefore intends to appeal the decision in court. Whether his Twitch broadcaster will help him with that remains to be seen.
