Monsieur Parizot now has its spin-off on TF1. A hardened bachelor from Camping Paradis, actor Patrick Paroux nevertheless shares a beautiful love story for more than 20 years with an actress…
There’s something new for Camping Paradis fans! While the campsite setting and the “Fiesta boom boom” have hardly changed since 2006, TF1 decided to innovate by turning to the emblematic character of Monsieur Parizot. The camper, as egocentric as he is cantankerous, is now entitled to his own derivative fiction on the first channel. Entitled “Monsieur Parizot”, this new front page production features the famous grumpy retiree in a police investigation halfway between Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie.
For a special episode, Christian Parizot will leave his location 68 and the sun of the campsite for the jackets and sweaters of Colmar, his native region in Alsace. On the program for this highly anticipated spin-off: a mysterious murder and a family of colorful aristocrats. We discover that in his daily life as a retiree, Parizot, played by Patrick Paroux, is a cycling enthusiast who loves going out in nature with his great friend Dodo (Philippe Caroit). It is the death of the latter, disguised as an accident, which is the starting point of the intrigue. Parizot, a fan of thrillers and detective films, therefore decides to carry out the investigation with a young gendarme, played by Clémence Lassalas.
This event episode, directed by Nicolas Copin and written by faithful screenwriter Laurent Mondy, was scheduled for Monday October 7, 2024, in prime-time on TF1. If it is a success with the audience, the channel plans to transform this spin-off into a collection of TV films, with two to three episodes per year. Enough to delight fans of Monsieur Parizot, this character who is also old-fashioned, clumsy and grumpy, but so endearing that he has established himself as one of the big stars of Camping Paradis.
For the record, Christian Parizot is on screen an eternal bachelor who collects imaginary conquests and rakes. But in real life, his interpreter Patrick Paroux has been swimming in romantic happiness for many years. Since 2002, the 71-year-old actor has been in a relationship with Anne-Cécile Crapie, a trainer, coach and actress herself, seen in several series and TV films (Foster family in 2009, Un jour mon père sera in 2010 Au My Daughter’s Name in 2016, Clem in 2018…).
Their beautiful story gave birth to a marriage in 2005 and a son, Corto, now in his twenties. In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, Patrick Paroux said he was “lucky to be with the woman I love”. He also returned to their meeting on stage. “We had played in other shows before but we got closer during the play ‘What we talk about when we talk about love'”, he explained. A nice nod to destiny, the starting point of a romance which has lasted for more than 20 years.
