What is the crime series about?
Private detective Adrian Monk is confronted with a new case in each episode. Since the death of his wife Trudy in a car bomb in 1997, he has suffered from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias. In order to cope with his everyday life, he hires the young woman Sharona Fleming as an assistant.
Despite his neuroses, he’s such a brilliant detective that the San Francisco police can’t do without his skills of clues and reasoning. Usually one case is investigated and solved by Monk per episode. Adrian Monk also tries to get to the bottom of the death of his wife Trudy across seasons.
