Mona Lisa changes President Macron puts Louvre under renovation

Huge number of visitors

Approximately nine million people visit Louvre each year. According to Macron, the expanded museum after the renovation could aim for up to 12 million visitors a year.

Louvre is one of the oldest and biggest art museums in the world. It includes one of the most important works of Western art from Mona Lisa to Milon Venus sculpture.
