The former biathlete has taken a seat next to Björn Ferry in the television broadcasts and she now tells Expressen what she thinks about working together with him.

– I have noticed that he is not played out in any way, she says.

After twelve World Cup seasons, two Olympics and eight World Cups, the Värmlander made up his mind Mona Brorsson34, to hang up the gun after last season. It didn’t take long before it was clear that she would replace Helena Ekholm as a biathlon expert in SVT’s Vinterstudion.

It has started extremely promisingly for Mona, who is undeniably going home among the Swedes. She has received a lot of praise for her efforts at the beginning and when almost half of the season has now passed, she summarizes the situation for Expressen.

She says that she is still a little surprised that she received so much positive response from the viewers. That she actually suspected that more people would think she was bland and just went with the flow.
– Many outsiders who have seen that Mona Brorsson will become an expert commentator have worried if I will just be some filler, some piece of jewelry on the sofa, that I will not be able to be critical or dare to speak out. But then they probably missed a little who I am, she says.

In the very first broadcast, she dared to speak against SVT’s second biathlon expert Bjorn Ferrywho worked for the channel for ten years. Something that probably surprised many.
– I may not always have super clear opinions, I like to reason and see different angles, but I have no problem standing up for what I think if I do think something. So it felt quite obvious, that here I can use my knowledge and I know that the train hasn’t left at all, she says.

– I have noticed that Björn Ferry is not played out in any way, he has a lot of knowledge and is incredibly good at picking up statistics. He can really read the sport in a good way, see small details, she says.
