It was an expected sister fight for the SM gold.
Behind Elvira and Hanna Öberg, however, Mona Brorsson finished third – in her last individual biathlon competition in her career.
– I’m done with the competition. But I will miss everything else about the sport, says Brorsson.
The winner Elvira Öberg and the second Hanna Öberg turned right after they crossed the finish line. Then they stood and welcomed the third Mona Brorsson with making the wave for the biathlon veteran.
Brorsson thus ended his long career on the podium in his last individual competition. Today’s bronze was her 19 individual SM medal.
– Not bad. I’ve never counted them so that was nice to hear. I really wanted to get a medal from here, says Mona Brorsson in SVT’s broadcast.

She is highly praised by Elvira Öberg.
– She does a fantastic competition and puts a fantastic career on the shelf.
Öberg won gold
Elvira Öberg won her third SM gold in her career, just as older sister Hanna Öberg succeeded when she won Saturday’s sprint.

On the men’s side took Jesper Nelin his second SM gold in two days. He took the first in Saturday’s sprint – and on Sunday he won the gold in the mass start over 15 kilometers in Boden.

Viktor Brandtwho made his WC debut earlier this year, took the silver after three bars and Sebastian Samuelsson (six beam) took care of the bronze.
The SM competitions end on Monday with the single mixed relay.
