Mona Brorsson hits back at the criticism that Stina Nilsson was subjected to – now says what all Swedes must hear: “I’m not surprised”

Stina Nilsson leaves biathlon behind.
Now Mona Brorsson roars and hits back at the criticism.
– I find it difficult to see how she could have come out of it completely unmoved, Mona says to Radiosporten.

Four years ago surprised Stina Nilsson the entire skiing world when suddenly decided to switch from cross-country skiing to biathlon. It was a very big adjustment, but she really gave her all to become good at the new sport.

The first two seasons pointed the development curve upwards, but the last two seasons have been heavy for Stina. And she has received harsh criticism both in Sweden and in Norway, where most have expressed their harsh words directly at her.

After four seasons as a biathlete, she now chooses to give up and change sports again, this time to long-distance running instead. Now the teammate hits Mona Brorsson back against all the harsh criticism that Nilsson has been subjected to and believes that this is one of the reasons why she is quitting.
– No one is blind either and I know that she has received a lot… It has been engaging, if you say so… And she has received a lot of comments about what she should do and I find it hard to see how she could have gone completely unmoved out of it, Mona admits to Radiosporten.
– So that may have had an effect.

Now she pays tribute to her national team mate with the finest words ahead of an upcoming winter with a brand new challenge.
– I am not surprised that she throws herself into a new challenge because that has really characterized her, she is not afraid of a challenge and she knows well that it was time for something new. I think she is incredibly brave to take this step again, says Mona to the radio channel.
