MOM MIA! Italian police now drive Lamborghini Urus

MOM MIA Italian police now drive Lamborghini Urus

Lamborghini and the Italian police have had a collaboration since 2004. Now the “Polizian” has received another car – specifically a Lamborghini Urus Performante.

The car will actually be used to carry out police work and is not just for show – although it certainly succeeds in that.

The Lamborghini Urus Performante, which will be delivered to the Italian “Polizia Stradale” was delivered to the Chief of Police – Vittorio Pisani – by Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.

The Urus will be the sixth Lambo to enter the service of the Italian police and become part of the highway police.

Together with a Huracán LP610-4, it will be used for special missions, including the urgent delivery of, for example, organs.

“It is with great honor that we continue this 20-year collaboration with the Italian police. These initiatives, which make us very happy, demonstrate our clear connections to Italy” commented Stephan Winkelmann.

What distinguishes the police version of the Urus Performante is first and foremost the fact that the entire car is painted like a police car.

Furthermore, the car has been given sirens, a safe for weapons, a defibrillator, a refrigerator for organ transport, and extra screens with all the information the police could possibly need.

Under the hood lurks a 4-liter V8 with 666 horsepower and 850 newton meters. That’s enough to take the police car to 100 kph in 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 306 kilometers per hour.

If you, as a villain, see an Urus Performante police car in the rearview mirror, it is therefore best to stop, unless you are sitting in something really potent.

The police car will begin to be used by the police in Rome in 2024.
