It’s impossible to miss: as soon as you enter the lobby of the City Office, you will see long ‘tree trunks’ surrounded by a low wooden fence. “It feels surreal,” says Kumar, looking at her meter-high work of art. They are not just any tree trunks, says artist Kumar. “You see the living organism mycelium here,” she says. The artwork had to grow for eight months.
