Mohamed’s friends died in the traffic accident outside Skara

Mohamed Osman was a colleague and friend of the men who died in the traffic accident between Skara and Falköping. He tells TV4 Nyheterna that he himself would have gone in the same car, and that he had arranged to meet with one of the colleagues in the car.
– I find it hard to believe that it’s true, I couldn’t sleep last night, he says.

During Tuesday, the police announced that five men have died after the head-on collision between a car and a truck on Monday afternoon.

All were colleagues and friends of Mohamed Osman, who himself lives in Falköping.

– When you have worked together for a long time, you become like a family, he says.

Mohamed Osman says that they used to commute together and that he was actually supposed to go with his colleagues on this day, but stayed home to take his daughter to preschool.

“I called again and again”

Before the fatal accident, he spoke to one of his colleagues on the phone, they were to meet when the colleague arrived at his home. But when Mohamed went to talk to his colleague again, he got no answer.

– I called at 5 pm. He did not answer. I called again and again, he says.

Mohamed Osman then receives a call that there has been an accident between Falköping and Skara, and that the colleagues with whom he usually travels are involved.

– I had a hard time believing it, he says.

When TV4 Nyheterna meets Mohamed Osman, he is on his way to their shared workplace to meet his other colleagues.

– Everyone feels bad. It won’t feel like it usually does, he says and continues:

– I will always remember this road when I commute.
