Mohamed, or “Momo” as he was called, had been subjected to severe violence. He was found on Saturday evening in a forest area outside Ösmo in Nynäshamn municipality.
– It was the public who passed this place in the forest by chance and found him dead, says senior prosecutor Hanna Cardell.
At the same time, the police are looking for a 15-year-old boy who allegedly disappeared at the same time. But the prosecutor does not want to go into details about the connection to the case.
– Regarding the second missing person, we do not want to comment at the moment on who it is or what has happened, other than that the police are looking for a missing person, she says.
Placed at HVB home
Mohamed has been placed in an HVB home in Nyköping for some time now. But last weekend he was visiting family in Nässjö. On Sunday evening, July 23, he took the train back to the HVB home.
On Monday, the mother spoke to him on the phone. But on Tuesday, she couldn’t get hold of her son.
– No signals were received, says the mother.
Mohamed was reported missing and wanted via Missing people, days passed before the police announced last Saturday that he had been found dead. The mother wishes the family had received more information.
– No one has told how and when he died. Was he stabbed or shot? What happened to him, I want to know, she says.
No arrests
At the moment, the police do not have anyone detained in the case and the prosecutor does not want to comment on whether there are any suspects.
Are there any links to organized crime?
– I don’t want to go into that at the moment, but the police are obviously working unconditionally regarding what has happened and who is involved, says Hanna Cardell.
