The French rapper, already accused of sexual assault and violence by several ex-girlfriends, was placed in pre-trial detention in mid-June for non-compliance with his judicial control and was indicted in July 2022 for rape, qualification criminal, vis-à-vis another ex, announces AFP this Monday, March 13, from sources familiar with the matter.
“The facts are formally disputed and are not supported by any material element,” said the same source Elise Arfi, the rapper’s lawyer. The case is therefore not new, but it is a question here of a new criminal qualification, that of rape, which can therefore lead to a trial before the assize court (it would have been held before a criminal court if the facts remained classified as sexual assault, which is an offense and not a crime) and a heavier sentence.
In total, Moha La Squale is accused of violence by six ex-companions. One of them also denounces a rape. The latter had denounced on Snapchat and on her YouTube channel, in the spring of 2022, the violence she allegedly suffered while living in Dubai with the artist in 2021. She claims to have been “struck”, “threatened with a knife ” and raped by Moha La Squale, in Cannes. In June 2021, the 28-year-old rapper was indicted for violence by spouse, sexual assault by spouse, death threats by spouse and kidnapping of various victims.
Who is the rapper Moha La Squale?
From his real name Mohamed Bellahmed, Moha La Squale has Algerian origins through his parents. He was born in Créteil, in the Val-de-Marne department, on February 24, 1995. At the age of 4, he moved to the 20th arrondissement of Paris, more specifically to the heart of the Amandiers district, also known as the Banana district. As his father leaves home, he is raised by his blind mother. Due to lack of money, he started dealing drugs when he was only 12 years old.
Coming out of his difficult childhood, Moha La Squale has a few legal troubles, then he becomes a pizza delivery man as a self-employed person. Subsequently, he discovered the profession of actor. In 2016, he headlined Seed, a short film by Barney Frydman. At the end of this first experience in front of the camera, he joined the Cours Florent and embarked on a theater course. However, it is through music and his improvisations posted on social networks that he manages to get noticed. In particular, we can mention freestyle Welcome Banana.
In 2017, Moha La Squale landed a contract with the Elektra Records label. Alternating between hip-hop and French rap, he multiplies the singles the following year. Among his songs which contributed to his notoriety, we can dwell on Remi without family, Don’t call me bro or Midday midnight. Also in 2018, the rapper released his first studio album titled Bendero. Other successes followed, such as paris drill, Basta, amsterdam And Benita. In 2022, The Appache appears. This is his second studio album.

- paris drill : this title will be released in 2022 and is part of the playlist of The Appache, the second studio album by Moha La Squale. With rap rhythms and instrumentation, Paris Drill focuses on organized crime, as well as drug trafficking against a backdrop of particularly deleterious urban atmosphere.
