A Chinese fashion model was found murdered on Saturday in her former in-laws’ apartment in Hong Kong.
The woman, believed to be 28-year-old Chinese fashion model Abby Choi, disappeared a few days ago and when police entered an apartment rented by her former in-laws, parts of her body were found in various places in the residence.
The in-laws and the ex-husband’s brother have now been arrested and the police are looking for the woman’s ex-husband.
The authorities believe that the reason for the murder was that the woman was in a financial dispute with her ex-husband and his family involving the equivalent of tens of millions of kroner and that some were dissatisfied with how the woman handled her assets.
When the police broke into the apartment, body parts were found in a refrigerator as well as her ID card, credit card and other belongings. But parts of the body are still missing.
There were also several tools suspected of having been used in the crime.
The home was rented by the in-laws just a few weeks ago.
