The new medieval MMORPG Reign of Guilds is now available for free on Steam. The game has a karma system that can greatly influence the course of the game.
When is it available? Reign of Guilds is a game with a medieval look and was originally supposed to launch in the first quarter of 2022, but the release was then delayed until April 2024. Now the developers have decided to take a new step: you can try the game for free on Steam and test it until December 31, 2024.
The game offers a huge open-world PvP landscape with a karma system, which allows each player to influence the game world. It is also possible to fight alliance and guild wars with up to 150 players. This means you can fight countless battles together with your friends.

What awaits you in the game?
How does the karma system work? In Reign of Guild, your fate depends on your karma. If you kill defenseless fellow players in the MMORPG, you receive negative karma. This allows you to swindle some rewards, but you will then, for example, gain the displeasure of traders, so that they increase their prices.
If you take this to the extreme, you become a “psycho” and the NPCs won’t sell you anything. In addition, other players can kill you without suffering any disadvantages. You are then an outlaw, so to speak.
If you attack a player and he defends you, the fight turns into a real duel and you don’t receive any negative karma. So if you behave like a hero and only fight honorable duels or kill players with negative karma, you will become a “saint” and gain favor with the merchants. They will then give you hefty discounts.
How do you start the game? Reign of Guild is currently in Early Access. The developers have designed the game so that the player spends some time in the starting area. This is so that players can really get to know the MMORPG before they throw themselves into battle. However, various DLCs can speed up the process so that you can leave the beginner area sooner.
