MMA Mansour Barnaoui beaten in the decision by Brent Primus

A little less than seven months after his successful debut in the mixed martial arts (MMA) organization Bellator, when he remained three years without a fight, Mansour Barnaoui bowed, Friday May 12 in Paris, at the occasion of his second fight. Headlining Bellator 296, the lightweight fighter was aiming for victory in the quarter-finals of the World Grand Prix Tournament against Brent Primus at Bercy. A success would have paved the way for him to a semi-final against Russian Usman Nurmagomedov, cousin of legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. But his American opponent, former Bellator lightweight champion and stronger in the ground phases, took the upper hand and won by unanimous decision after five rounds. The “Afro-Samourai” had been undefeated since 2016.
