Mixu Paatelainen swears that there was no threshold for returning to Finland, even though the Huuhkajat wash ended gloomily – “Only good feelings”

Mixu Paatelainen swears that there was no threshold for returning

Mixu Paatelainen has started this week as the head coach of HIFK.

Former head coach of the Finnish national football team Mixu Paatelainen has just started Veikkausliiga at the helm of HIFK. Paatelainen, who returned to Finland after a long tour abroad, conducted his first practice on Wednesday and will be HIFK’s head coach in Friday’s Haka match.

HIFK has been in a turmoil. The club’s ownership patterns went new in the winter. The player’s front also received strong reinforcements, such as the former national goalkeeper of Portugal Beto.

The head coach changed immediately at the beginning of the season when the Portuguese Bernardo Tavares He left his post on family grounds immediately after the first league match, where he was also absent due to illness. In the next two games, the team piloted Pedro Henriques. After three rounds, HIFK is last in the series with one point.

– Looking at the series table, you can see that this is not the desired start. However, it has only been played for three rounds, the series is at the beginning. I think we will be able to improve the game a little quietly, Paatelainen said.

Paatelainen quenches the most enthusiastic and reminds that a big change is hardly visible right away on Friday.

– You can’t bring too many things to players at once. You have to build the game piece by piece. It takes time. I hope we get the game dynamic, crackling and aggressive. I hope the game is organized and situations are systematically built with a feed game.

Paatelainen is excited about his new challenge and return to Finland.

– It’s great to return to Finland. It’s really nice to come here again to work. However, this is my country.

“I just have good feelings about national team time”

Paatelainen coached Huuhkaji in 2011–2015. Pesti ended the kicks in a nasty mood. Paatelainen got into the teeth of the supporters and the gaps in the media became inflamed. However, there was reportedly no threshold for returning to Finland.

– Not at all. I just have good feelings about national team time. Each wash ends at some point. If the results are not good, it is possible that the coach will leave.

After the owls, Paatelainen has coached Dundee United in the Scottish League, Ubon UMT United FC in Thailand and the national teams of Latvia and Hong Kong. Success in these was modest. He hasn’t had much time to watch the Veikkausliiga games in recent years, although there are already a lot of games to be seen this spring.

The first match against the old follows

Paatelainen’s first match in HIFK on Friday is against Haka in Valkeakoski. It hurts appropriately, as Haka was the club of his youth and the club from which he once left the world in 1987. Paatelainen gets excited about talking about Haka.

– It’s unbelievable that my first game is against Haka. I lived there all my school life, my parents still live there and a lot of schoolmates. Haka has started the season briskly. They play good football, it doesn’t become an easy game.
