Mistral declines its AI in app for Android and iOS

The cat, the conversational AI AI AI, is now available in mobile application on iPhone as on Android. Good news, especially since the French chatbot is much faster than Chatgpt.

While the International Summit on AI has just opened in Paris, on February 6, 2025, Mistral AI, the French startup specializing in artificial intelligence, has just launched a mobile declination of its cat assistant, with a Application available on Android and iOS. An important step for the young company, which wishes to position itself as a credible alternative to giants in the sector such as Openai and Anthropic.

The cat, the AI assistant from Mistral AI, is distinguished by its speed and effectiveness. Thanks to ultra-fast inference engines and its advanced language models, such as Mistral wide, it can generate up to 1,000 words per second, which makes it particularly reactive. And it is not a marketing promise: as we checked during various tests, the cat writes an answer in just a second, when it takes dozens to Chatgpt or Claude for the same prompt!

The Chat’s mobile application offers a simple and intuitive chatbot interface, allowing users to ask questions and get instant answers. It also incorporates advanced and practical functions, such as web research with quotes, image generation and text or code editing in a separate window. Functions that make it a versatile tool for various daily needs, whether information, content creation or programming. Especially since Mistral AI also signed a partnership with the Agency France-Presse (AFP) to enrich the responses of its assistant with reliable and up-to-date information. On the other hand, the mobile application does not yet have a vocal mode, which can limit its accessibility for users preferring voice piloting.

The application is available in three versions: a free version and two paid at 15 and 20 euros per month offer additional functions with multitasking capacities and AI agents, as well as access to more efficient language models.
