A doctor risks prison after reading 40 patients’ medical records unrelated to his own duties.

The doctor has explained her actions by saying that she wanted to know if colleagues had written anything unfavorable about her in the medical records. The action was revealed in a routine check and the doctor was dismissed.

Now the doctor has been prosecuted for data breach.

A storm is moving in over the West Coast.

Storm Lilian, as it has been called by British meteorologists, moved in over Britain already yesterday. It brought heavy rain, wind gusts of up to 35 meters per second and led to flooding, power outages and canceled flights.

In Sweden, SMHI warns that Lilian can lead to floods in Stenungsund, Tjörn and Orust, among others, writes The ST newspaper. The warning is valid until 11 p.m.

The weather also affects train traffic. The trains between Gothenburg and Strömstad will be stopped from 19.30 this evening until 12 on Saturday.

The trains between Herrljunga and Uddevalla/Gårdsjö are also stopped.

A man was attacked and stabbed in Alvesta at lunchtime on Friday, writes Smålandsposten.

Police were called to a fight outside in a residential area. There must have been several perpetrators who assaulted a man.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance. The police have been able to talk to him, but the rest of the damage is unclear.

A hunt is now underway for the perpetrators.

– We are on site with several units and a dog patrol that searches for traces, Katarina Rusin at the police command center tells the newspaper.

The Public Health Agency will present new recommendations for vaccination against mpox during Friday.

The new recommendations have been developed after the World Health Organization, WHO, last week declared a global emergency due to the disease. This since a new variant of the virus spread.

The virus variant is called clade 1, and appears to be more infectious and dangerous than the previous variant that spread. The ongoing clade 1 outbreak was detected in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a number of other countries in central Africa. In the region, thousands of people have been infected, and more than 500 have died from the new virus variant.

The first reported case outside of Africa was a man from Sweden, who had been traveling in the Congo.
